Papayas are unique in being only one species of plant. Of this there are two variations. The papaya has delightfully sweet, red or orange flesh, while the yellow pawpaw and the other has distinctive yellow flesh. They are also available as green papayas – unripe and used in a range of dishes. Fresh Fruits imports Maradol, Sunrise, and Caribbean Red papayas which usually come from Mexico and Belize.
